Jabal-Hajar-Turab #1

“Jabal-Hajar-Turab #1” (“Gorfa-Atar” previously) is the name of an exhibition in Marrakech that brought together traces of the project Ghorfa #4 (the version of the ghorfa in the Rif). The exhibition was made up of four elements: a digital print on black and white paper showing the Rif ghorfa’s construction site; a drawing on paper (triptych) representing a world map with a shiny dot marking the Rif’s geographical zone; a diagram of the ghorfa; and a model of the ghorfa made of two stones and dirt from the Rif, which was installed on a concrete cylinder that alluded to the bucket used to transport water to the construction site. The exhibition was also installed in Palermo alongside chalk drawings on the wall that recalled the Rif Mountains.
